VICTORIA SAMBUNARIS EXHIBITION OPENS AT THE HERMES FOUNDATION GALLERY, NYC

Opening September 8, 2009, the Hermes Foundation Gallery at 63rd and Madison, NYC will present Terra Firma, an exhibition of Vicky Sambunaris's recent work exploring geologic hot spots in the American West. This summer Sambunaris was the subject of two solo exhibitions running concurrently this summer in Santa Fe, N.M.: Overland: Photographs by Victoria Sambunaris at the Lannan Foundation and A Space of Time at James Kelly Contemporary. She also has work in the group shows, Stripped: An Exploration of Mining Works, Sun Valley Center for the Arts, Idaho and Manmade: Notions of Landscape from the Lannan Collection, New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe.
